The SO2L-SO2L-* is an expanded-beam, hermaphroditic fiber plug designed for robust, low‑maintenance optical connections in harsh or industrial environments. It is available for both single‑mode and multi‑mode fiber and ships pre‑assembled with a 5 mm TPU‑jacketed cable containing two fibers.

- Connector type & mating: Expanded‑beam fiber plug with hermaphroditic design — male and female plugs mate directly with each other (no coupler required), simplifying system design and field use.
- Optical performance: Single‑mode insertion loss: normally 1.5 dB per connection (max 2.5 dB). Multi‑mode insertion loss: normally 1.0 dB per connection (max 2.0 dB). Optical wiring conforms to ISO/IEC 11801.
- Cable specifics: Supplied pre‑assembled on a 5 mm cable (TPU outer jacket), two fibers per cable; fiber core diameters: SM 9 µm, MM 50 µm; cladding 125 µm; minimum bending radius 5 cm; weight ~30 kg/km for the 5 mm cable.
